Linde Gas Singapore Pte. Ltd. was incorporated in Singapore in June 1993 and is a subsidiary of Linde plc, a global gas and engineering company with presence in more than 80 countries.
Based in Jurong Island, LGS operates one of the largest and most complex integrated hydrogen and carbon monoxide facility in Asia. Coupled with a 100 tons per day liquid carbon dioxide plant and an air separation plant, LGS supports the needs of many bulk industrial gas businesses in the ASEAN region and various top petrochemical companies in the world.
LGS is committed to continuous improvement and innovation to remain at the forefront of the industrial gas industry. To meet the growing demands for Electronics Specialty Gas (“ESG”), LGS has enhanced and expanded our supply chain and warehousing capability for increased purity, consistency and security of offerings. LGS has also strengthened its Specialty Product and Chemicals (“SPC”) facility to offer high purity and high accuracy bespoke products that exceeds industrial standards.
On 27 August 2019, Linde held the groundbreaking ceremony and announced its new integrated manufacturing complex, which will be located and integrated with its existing gasification facility on Jurong Island. This USD 1.4 billion (SGD 1.9 billion) expansion is Linde’s single largest investment globally, highlighting our commitment to the Singaporean market and support towards the multibillion-dollar expansion of ExxonMobil Asia Pacific’s integrated manufacturing complex.
The new complex, a significant step up, not only quadruples Linde’s current production capacity in Singapore, drastically increasing production of hydrogen and synthesis gas but also nurtures a collaborative and integrated ecosystem on Jurong Island to establish competitive and robust supply networks. By taking bottom-of-the-barrel, heavy residuals from ExxonMobil and Linde transforms the waste through a gasification process into valuable products like hydrogen which will be reintegrated back into our customer operations.
